Skyline High School
Athletic & Versatile lefty guard who set an Idaho record for points scored in a season by a freshman with 563. She averaged 19.4 PPG on 52% FG shooting (35% from three) for Skyline High School in Idaho Falls, and helped lead her team to their first championship game appearance in school history. As a freshman, she scored 25 points in the state championship game vs. the now-BYU head coach's high school squad. Shay is a strong rebounder, defender, shooter, and two way playmaker.
Through her junior year, Shay has 1736 career points and holds career records at Skyline for points, rebounds, assists, three pointers, double-doubles, and free throws. She is on track to break Destiny Slocum's career scoring record for the state of Idaho. She had 22 double-doubles out of 27 games, averaging 23.9 PPG, 12.9 RPG, 3.1 APG, 2.6 SPG, and 0.6 BPG with a 52% eFG and led her team to another state championship game and had 25 points in the loss to the undefeated Shelley Russets. Each of Shay's three games in the state tournament were against teams that had 1 or more D1 offered players, including a P5 commit.
In 23 games as a 15 year old sophomore she averaged 22.9 PPG, 10.7 RPG, 4 APG, and had 17 double doubles.
Skyline had the toughest strength of schedule out of all teams in Idaho according to MaxPreps in 21-22 and again had one of the top 5 toughest schedules in 22-23.

Shay received an official offer from Tracy Sanders at Southern Utah University in August of 2021 after she was able to attend their elite camp. She currently has six DI offers from Mountain West, WAC, and Big Sky schools. Three of the teams have been NCAA tournament qualifiers in the past two seasons.
Shay is playing with FBC Northwest Alliance 17U for the 2023 spring/summer evaluation periods.
